Pakistan and its Political instability
By Syed Wakeel Ahmed
The coalition government of PDM has completely failed to deliver there ground performances thus far, woefully there talks with the IMF and other neighbouring countries for aid went in vain. The climate hit was another unwanted fortune that went in Shehbaz and his cabinet’s favour. On the other hand the former PM Imran Khan is busy in conducting massive jalsa’s and agitations from the day he left office. Since his ouster through No-confidence motion he has so far held sixty jalsa’s according to him. He built a strong political narrative saying that his ouster was through American involvement and internal culprits calling them “Mir Jaffer and mir Sadiq” his narrative absolutely is absorbed by the people of Pakistan. His demands since first day are clear for free and fresh elections in the country.
He has already proved his worth and popularity by winning 23 By-elections out of 36 which presumably is a record has this had never happened a party swiping after 4months of its ouster in the history of Pakistan’s politics. MR Khan also holds the record of only political leader winning 6 National Assembly seats alone. His last record was winning 5 seats alone. IK already has government in 2 major provinces of the country KPK, and Punjab and claims that he (Shehbaz sharif) is the PM of Islamabad only who is in minority and has no constitutional rights to rule.
Shehbaz and his cabinet is not ready at all for General elections at the moment prior to MR Khan’s popularity and his recent by-election swipe.
MR Khan absolutely is playing a pivotal role in bringing his parties popularity back so he is been on roads for months and making it tougher and tougher for the PDM despite Dar’s entry from London sitting on finance minster’s chair coming back after five year’s .
In a recent march of IK which he named as Freedom march ( Haqeeqi azadi march) which’s onset started from Lahore to the capital city islamabad few weeks back, has this time he had punjab government’s support and support of thousands of masses in the march. On Thursday During his march to islamabad Khan was shot by an uknown man firing at him in Wazir abad where he was leading his march. Imran Khan was shot on leg including his other party leader’s. A civilian agitating in IK’s march was shot who kicked the bucket at the moment. Fortunately IK survived being shot three bullets on leg ( Prior to hospital’s report). The government so far claims that the assassination of PTI leader was by a fanatic because he was committing blasphemy and would persuade people wrongly in his speeches. For god sake the death of Imran Khan could turn country into a bloodshed and chaos, has his supporter’s are already at the moment in huge numbers that includes every age protesting country wide. Despite survival of their leader the PTI supports till day coming out in numbers in the country against the asseneatd murder attack on Imran Khan.
In a recent press conference IK made a shocking announcement without any prove he was quick to blame the top government leader’s,and a military senior officer plotting the assassinating murder attack. He Imran Khan further said they should resign and an FIR must be registered against them. If until or unless his demands are not fulfilled the party shall continue country wide protest. Imran Khan also announced the long march towards Islamabad from exactly the place in wazir abad where he was assassinated from 10 no November, “he won’t be leading this time, he would joining from Rawalpindi” he said. It’s been almost a week no FIR is registered despite Supreme courts order’s. The PTI protesters are on roads. They have blocked the enterence of Islamabad completely, demanding immediate FIR.
It’s not the first time this assassination took place political leaders have been killed in such assassinations, the Asda of liaquat Ali khan, Benazir Bhutto are history that was never solved.
Country at the moment is at the verge of collapse economically. On the other hand their is an existential threat to its security woefully, a proper government shall be the only solution to all the chaos,
If an immediate end to this political war isn’t ended the inflation may increase by huge numbers which will badly affect the lower middle class, institutions and political leaders must end this political uncertainty in the country and work for the betterment of countries interest despite personal interests.
